This event, which makes its sixth appearance on the schedule at fan-friendly Summit Racing Equipment Motorsports Park, begins the second half of the season and is the final one on the tour before teams head west for the grueling Western Swing. The event also is the site of the eight-car Pro Stock bonus event, the K&N Horsepower Challenge, the winner of which receives $50,000.

2011 recap:Del Worsham, Mike Neff, Vincent Nobile, and Eddie Krawiec used impressive victories to send a message to their peers. Worsham (Top Fuel) and Neff (Funny Car) scored their respective fourth and third wins of the season to further pad their leads, and Krawiec, who joined that duo in victory in Gainesville in March, seized back the Pro Stock Motorcycle points lead. Nobile scored the second victory of his rookie season to not only reach third place in the Pro Stock points standings but also the lead in the running for the Automobile Club of Southern California Road to the Future Award bestowed annually upon the season’s top Full Throttle rookie.

How to Get There: From Cleveland and west-side suburbs, take Route 480 west to Route 10 (Norwalk exit). Follow Route 10 West until it becomes Route 20. Take Route 20 to Route 601. Turn left on 601 and drive south to Route 18. Turn right onto Route 18 and follow the signs to spectator parking. From the north, east, and west, take the Ohio Turnpike East (Cleveland) to Exit 118 (Route 250). Head south on Route 250 into Norwalk. Turn left on Republic Street and follow the red directional signs to the track on the left. From the south, follow Route 250 North. At the exchange for State Route 18, follow the green directional sign to turn right; exit immediately using Route 18 and turn right. The track is on the left.
