Ford Customer Service Division Launches New Service Parts Warranty; Message to be Featured on Ford Shelby Mustang Funny Car in Pomona

POMONA, Calif., Nov. 6, 2013—Ford Customer Service Division announced a new service parts warranty on its Genuine Ford and Motorcraft service parts this week, and the news will be front-and-center on Bob Tasca’s Ford Shelby Mustang Funny Car at Auto Club Raceway at Pomona, Calif.

The new warranty provides unlimited mileage coverage for 24 months from time of purchase or installation.

“Motorcraft is not only a part of my race team, but a big part of my parts business back at the dealership,” said Tasca, who will wrap up his sixth year behind the wheel of his Funny Car at the Auto Club Finals at Pomona.  “From an NHRA fan’s garage to the professional parts installer’s shop, the new Motorcraft warranty is a big win. I can’t wait to get out there and spread the word.”

The 2013 NHRA Mello Yello Series season ends this weekend where it began in Southern California.

Ford’s part warranty provides customers towing reimbursement for repairs completed at any Ford or Lincoln Dealership. The warranty also provides Independent Repair Facilities the ability to complete repairs for customers by securing parts from a dealership or Ford Authorized Distributor. All customers benefit with more options on how they can have their vehicles serviced.

Ford’s previous service parts warranty was 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever occurred first, and labor was covered if the part was installed by a Ford or Lincoln dealership. Labor was not covered on parts sold over-the-counter to a fleet or installer.
